The importers, traders, and dealers belonging to Jodia Bazar, the country's biggest hub of industrial and food activities, have decided to support Sultan Chawla in an upcoming elections of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce of Industry (KCCI).

Sultan Chawla is contesting elections for KCCI presidentship for 2006.

A marathon meeting was held on Tuesday night at Jodia Bazar where hundreds of importers and traders attended and decided to give full support to Sultan Chawla.

The meeting was chaired by Raees Ashraf Tar Mohammad while attended by Irfan Patel, Hanif Lakhani, Naeem Warind, Asif Lakhani, Rauf Aziz, Javed Tar Mohammad, Hasan Ali Vista, Hamid Bagla and other representatives of food importers, dealers and traders and commodity traders from Kiryana and other adjoining markets.

Only two candidates, Sultan Chawla of Businessmen Forum and Haroon Farooki of Businessmen Group, are left in the run for the KCCI top slot in the election scheduled for November 12.

The election campaign is in full swing and both groups are holding meetings and convassing members to vote for their candidates.
